Job summary

Ledgent Technology is seeking a Fund Financial Reporting Preparer to support the preparation and review of mutual fund financial statements, shareholder reports, and regulatory filings. This role collaborates with Fund Accounting, Legal, Tax, and Valuation teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting.

Requires 2-4 years of accounting or fund accounting experience, CPA progress preferred, and advanced Excel skills. This 6-month contract is based in Irvine, CA with no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of accounting, financial reporting, audit, or fund accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mutual fund financial statements and shareholder reports.
• Prepare and review supporting workpapers, disclosures, schedules, and audit documentation.
• Review accounting transactions, general ledger activity, and reconciliations in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with financial reporting deliverables and regulatory filings.
• Partner with internal stakeholders including Fund Accounting, Legal, Tax, and Valuation teams.
• Coordinate with external auditors and offshore reporting teams.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting deadlines.
