Job summary

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts invites applications for Theater Education Faculty to join Patel Conservatory’s musical theater classes this fall. We seek practicing artists and educators who can teach one or more musical theater disciplines to students of various ages.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, teaching, assessing student progress, and maintaining records. A Bachelor’s in Musical Theater or related field is required, with recent professional activity in the field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Musical Theater or related field.
• Certification or significant training and/or performance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares lesson plans and teaches classes and workshops each session.
• Communicates with staff, parents, and students regarding growth and challenges.
• Provides program/student assessments as required.
• Adapts instructional methods to varying ages, abilities, learning styles, and experience levels.
• Provides each student with an evaluation with feedback and future course recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned by Theater Department Chair.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and class documentation.
