Job summary

The University of Maryland, College Park, seeks a Student Service Coordinator in the ARHU-School of Music to oversee a comprehensive student services program for 275+ undergraduate music students. You will provide academic advising, coordinate schedules with academic directors, and ensure timely online scheduling for summer and winter terms.

You will also manage enrollment data and studio and jury assignments, while delivering registration, orientation, advising, retention, and career

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: One year in higher education, academic advising, student personnel administration, or counseling.
• Knowledge of recruitment, retention, and customer service best practices.
• Knowledge of organization and administration best practices.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a comprehensive student services program for 275+ music students pursuing undergraduate degrees.
• Provide academic advising to undergraduates in the School of Music.
• Coordinate and communicate a class schedule with academic directors, including online scheduling for terms.
• Input and maintain data on student enrollment, studio assignments, and jury rotations.
• Provide registration, orientation, advising, retention, and career development services.
• Represent the School of Music at undergraduate transfer meetings and MACMA fairs; participate in admissions events.
