Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Dallas, TX is seeking a school-based Music Therapist to bring the power of music to education, helping students overcome barriers and reach their potential.

You will conduct evaluations, share findings with parents and district staff, and collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence-based interventions that support access to education and meaningful participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active MT-BC certification through CBMT or equivalent (ACMT, CMT, or RMT).
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to determine need for specialized therapy services.
• Communicate evaluation findings with parents and district personnel.
• Develop interventions with ARD committee to enhance education access.
• Provide music therapy aligned with IEPs.
• Monitor progress and maintain detailed records.
• Support ARD meetings and related discussions.

• Support Teams: Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to advocate for and enhance special education programs.
