Description

The Care Team Hospice is looking for a part-time Music Therapist to care for patients in Flint and Farmington Hills, MI, and surrounding areas. We specialize in providing Home Care and Hospice services in the home and facilities. Key Job Responsibilities

The Music Therapist provides therapeutic music interventions, initial assessments, and collaborates with patients, families, and staff to meet therapeutic goals, supporting service excellence in hospice care.

Qualifications

• Maintain compliance with agency policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.

Regulatory Requirements

• Licensed or registered in Michigan.
• Pass criminal background and MVR checks.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Current CPR certification (online accepted; hands-on preferred).
• TB testing within 12 months of hire and annually thereafter.

Industry Experience

• Hospice and Palliative Care certification preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Music Therapy, with certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists preferred.
• Experience with terminally ill patients is highly desirable.
