St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist to work within the Child Life Services team.

The role is Monday-Friday with no weekends, focusing on addressing physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of patients through music therapy. Responsibilities include designing and conducting individual and group sessions, coordinating with care team, and serving as a resource for musical experiences that support patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy.
• Bd Certified Music Therapist credential.
• No prior supervisor experience required.

Role Purpose

Organizes and implements a music therapy program to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of patients.

Responsibilities

• Uses music therapy as a process that combines the verbally transcendent and emotionally authentic aspects of music with the needs of the patient.
• Serves as a resource person and guide providing musical experiences that will aid in patient care.
• Designs and conducts music sessions for individuals and groups, based on client needs.
• Coordinates therapy with other team members and shares response to music therapy intervention.
