Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist to join the Child Life Services team.

The role is Monday through Friday with no weekend shifts, focusing on using music therapy to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of pediatric patients. Organize and implement a structured music therapy program, design sessions for individuals and groups, and coordinate with other clinicians to integrate music therapy into patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy.
• Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) certification.
• Experience in pediatric settings preferred.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct individual and group music sessions based on patient needs.
• Use music as a therapeutic modality to support physical, emotional, cognitive and social well-being.
• Coordinate therapy plans with the care team and communicate patient responses to music interventions.
• Serve as a resource and guide for music experiences to aid patient care.

• Serves as a resource person and guide providing musical experiences that will aid in patient care.
• Designs and conducts music sessions for individuals and groups, based on client needs.
• Coordinates therapy with other team members and shares response to music therapy intervention.
