Job summary

Easterseals SWFL is seeking a music therapist to provide group and individual music therapy across prek-12 and adult programs, addressing physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs. The role involves assessments, goal setting, and adapting sessions to support daily life activities.

Requires a Bachelor’s in music therapy (AMTA-approved) with at least one year of experience; autism experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music therapy from an AMTA-approved program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a music therapist; practicum acceptable.
• Experience working with children and adults with Autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and performs group and/or individual music therapy sessions.
• Conducts assessments/reassessments and sets goals for clients.
• Evaluates progress and adapts sessions to meet client needs and group dynamics.
• Provides services at multiple Easterseals SWFL sites and client homes.
• Documents services and time in accordance with department procedures.
• Maintains infection control and OSHA standards; ensures a safe work area.
• Demonstrates professional ethics and effective communication while representing the organization.
