Role Description This full-time, on-site Board-Certified Music Therapist role is based in Gainesville, FL. The Music Therapist will conduct individualized and group music therapy sessions, using evidence-based interventions to address mental health, developmental, and behavioral goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with families and interdisciplinary care teams. The role involves selecting and adapting musical activities, instruments, and technologies to meet diverse client needs, and participating in case reviews, staff meetings, and community outreach as needed. The therapist is expected to maintain professional ethics, uphold safety standards, and contribute to a positive, inclusive care environment.

Qualifications

• Strong music therapy expertise, including Music Therapy and Treatment planning skills.
• Proficiency in Music performance or facilitation (voice, instruments, or composition) to support therapeutic goals.
• Experience working with Mental Health needs, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or behavioral challenges.
• Ability to support individuals with Developmental Disabilities using individualized, strengths-based interventions.
• Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) and eligibility for any applicable state credentials or licenses.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program.
• Strong documentation, assessment, and treatment planning skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams.
