Job summary

North Suffolk is seeking a Music Therapist to join our Early Intervention Team. You will provide EI screening, evaluation, family support, and collaborate on IFSP plans in clients' homes or community settings.

Education: Bachelor’s in Music Therapy required; Master’s preferred; Board Certification required. Driver’s license required for off-site visits; Spanish bilingual a plus. Competitive benefits and city of Boston area salary range.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy is required.
• Education: Master’s degree in Music Therapy preferred.
• Licensure: Board Certification in Music Therapy required.
• Experience: Infancy/Early Childhood and Special Education experience preferred.
• Languages: Spanish bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide EI screening/intake, evaluation and assessment.
• Provide direct child developmental and family support / case management.
• Participate in IFSP development, ongoing execution, review and evaluation.
• Collaborate with families and EI team to identify concerns and resources.
• Provide education, advocacy, and support on child & parenting issues and resources.
• Refer for specialized therapies and other services as appropriate.
• Coordinate intervention services with medical, state, and health providers.
• Assist in developing a transition plan for child and family.
