Simple Steps, LLC is seeking a certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to serve veterans in the Fate, TX area on a part-time basis with a path to increase hours. The role is an employee position focused on one-on-one and community music therapy sessions.

The successful candidate will provide individualized sessions, document progress weekly, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support veterans’ cognitive and physical goals while delivering compassionate care.

Competenze

• MT-BC certification required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Experience with veterans, mental health, PTSD preferred.

Job Description:

The Music Therapist provides individualized therapeutic sessions for our veterans. This position includes the following:

• Assisting clients with cognitive and physical limitations.
• Facilitating therapeutic music activities to foster client growth.
• Submit weekly documentation with session observations and client progress.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to foster communication and team unity.

Qualifications and Preferred Criteria

• MT-BC Certification
• Bachelor's degree or higher

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Traumatic Brain Injury
• Experience working with veterans
• Experience working with mental health conditions
• Experience working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

All individuals should have the following:

• Resume
• CPR Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association only)
• Social Security Card
• Driver's License
