Job summary

Brightonhospice is looking for a licensed and board certified Music Therapist to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. The position allows for flexible hours as a PRN role. The therapist will conduct approximately 40 visits monthly, attend IDG meetings as required, and facilitate music therapy sessions based on patient requests.

Qualifications include a completed Music Therapy Degree and MT-BC certification with a minimum of one year of experience. Responsibilities encompass patient evaluations, planning, documenting delivered services, and collaborating in team activities.

Qualifications

• Currently Music Therapist Board Certified (MT-BC).
• Must be licensed.
• At least one year of music therapy experience.
• Completed Music Therapy Degree Requirements.
• Must have reliable transportation and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and evaluations to establish care plans.
• Deliver music therapy sessions as per physician's prescriptions.
• Document services delivered electronically on the day of service.
• Attend team conferences when requested.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities as required.

Details

We are seeking a licensed and board certified Music Therapist to join our team PRN. This is a contracted postion. The visit volume may vary, but currently the Music Therapist will complete approximately 40 visits per month and attend IDG meetings every Wednesday from 12–4 PM, if available. Services include music therapy sessions and legacy projects, depending on patient/family requests.

The Music Therapist is responsible for providing music therapy services to hospice patients according to their plan of care. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs assessments, evaluations, and establishes a plan and goals
• Performs music therapy treatments as prescribed by the Attending Physician and the Suncrest Hospice team
• Reports on client's response to treatment or any changes in condition
• Documents services delivered using electronic methods on day of service
• Attends team conferences upon request
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities, as requested.
• Ability to work well with verbal and non-verbal clients with a range of disabilities
• Connect with families and staff in a variety of outreach settings
• Ability to improvise in a clinical setting

Qualifications
