Position

• Music Teacher - (Music/Band Teacher)

Qualifications

• Hold Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as an Academic: Teacher, Music: Vocal/Instrumental/General, All Levels
• Knowledge of secondary music education methods including choral pedagogy, general music, and basic music technology software and applications.
• Experience directing student bands and preparing for shows and concerts.
• Experience designing and implementing engaging lessons, units, and assessments aligned with the MA Frameworks for Music.
• Positive classroom management techniques, responsiveness to student diversity, and enjoyment of working in an urban setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with colleagues, administrators, and parents.
• Piano experience (preferred)

Terms of Employment

• Reports to: CDAM of the Arts
• Rate: In accordance with the Unit A contract
