Responsible Tasks: You are responsible for maintaining and organizing materials and equipment, mastering content knowledge, participating in school and organization-wide family events, and providing individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and engage scholars.
Accountable: You are accountable for classroom culture and instructional model. This includes maintaining a positive and inclusive environment, modeling high emotional intelligence, creating structured learning experiences, developing and delivering standard-aligned lessons, and evaluating scholars’ work.
Consulted: You should be deeply knowledgeable about inclusive and representative curriculum and resources, professional development, intervention and referral services, and/or special services.
Informed: Stay informed about cultural awareness and the influence of the systems you are accountable for.
Salary: The annual salary range is $60,500 - $90,000, with competitive yearly increases based on experience.
Qualifications: 2+ years in an urban or low-income setting preferred, a track record of success, commitment to our mission, willingness to grow and learn collaboratively, and dedication to serving our scholar population in an anti-discriminatory environment.
Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, NJ certification in Teacher of Music or eligibility, or minimum undergraduate GPA requirements for certification.
