Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction by which students develop aesthetic concepts/appreciations and the ability to make qualitative judgments about music education.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other specialists in developing student programs that promote commonalities, distinctions, and connections in and among music education.
  • Implement instructional plans and organize class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time.
  • Coordinate performances/displays and student assemblies throughout the school year.
  • Adhere to and support all school policies to enforce school core values, high expectations, and strict code of conduct.
  • Model and encourage appropriate student behavior (grit, self-control, social intelligence, optimism and curiosity).
  • Work with school team to constantly evaluate and improve mastery of instructional, culture building, and leadership skills.
  • Maintain a classroom that demonstrates discipline, order and rigor.
  • Reflect critically on teaching practice and implement improvement strategies as needed.
  • Participate in mandatory summer orientation (3 weeks) and training.
  • Other duties as assigned

ReGeneration Schools, founded in 2016, is a nationally ranked charter program with seven charter schools located in Illinois and Ohio. We are seeking an experienced full-time Music Teacher to join our network in Cincinnati. This individual must have a proven track record of providing excellent learning experiences that utilize instructional strategies that deepens students’ understanding and appreciation for music education and will collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate learning across curriculums.
