Job summary

Universal Music Group in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Manager in Business Affairs Administration to lead rights clearances and licensing for music and video releases. You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely approvals while mitigating risks and ensuring compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in music licensing or business affairs, strong contract drafting abilities, and excellent organization.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of music licensing, legal, or business affairs experience.
• Knowledge of music copyright, licensing, publishing, and recording agreements.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage music/video clearances with labels, publishers, and licensors for releases.
• Draft, review and administer music agreements (Sample, Side Artist, Waivers, Soundtrack licenses).
• Assess risks in video treatments and collaborate with Legal to resolve issues before release.
• Maintain tracking systems and support process improvements for efficiency.
