Job summary

Create Music Group in Los Angeles is seeking a motivated Pop/Electronic - Music Publishing Assistant to support the Publishing team with client onboards, metadata, and disputes with collection societies. This is a full-time role in our Hollywood office.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in music publishing administration, strong Excel/Google skills, and comfort with YouTube and data management. This position offers opportunities to contribute to revenue recovery and client services.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of work/internship experience or education in music publishing administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of internet culture and social media platforms, especially YouTube.
• Conducting basic level research.
• Organizing large amounts of data efficiently.
• Proficiency with Mac OSX, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and updating metadata in internal database.
• Resolving claim and asset disputes.
• Completing manual registrations with collection societies.
• Taking inquiries from clients regarding music publishing-related issues.
• Researching catalogs, song histories, credits, and recording information.
• Occasional notetaking and other administrative tasks as assigned by the team.
