Job Summary

Georgia Gwinnett College is accepting applications for part‑time faculty positions in Music in the School of Liberal Arts for the academic year 2026‑2027. These semester‑based positions report directly to the Department Chair and may be taught in various delivery modes, including face‑to‑face, online, hybrid or blended formats. Positions require additional time outside of class for written feedback and individualized student meetings. Part‑time faculty may teach in fall, spring, and/or summer semesters across morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend slots.

Responsibilities

• Develop course curricula, including syllabi, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with upper‑division program requirements and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
• Review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.
• Evaluate students to measure their progress toward institutional and course goals.
• Submit required paperwork related to instruction in a timely and accurate manner.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree in the teaching discipline.
• Graduate teaching experience at the college level for at least one year.
• Sustained professional engagement demonstrating relevance and currency in the field of teaching.
