Job summary

The Central Lincoln County YMCA is seeking a Music & Movement instructor to support its community-focused programs in Maine. This role teaches classes on Saturdays and collaborates with the Program & Summer Camp Director to promote healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years in related work, CPR/First Aid within 60 days, strong teamwork, and solid computer skills. Expect a busy, welcoming environment with community impact.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Team player with superb interpersonal skills and positive, friendly conduct.
• Self-starter who can multi-task, work independently, and adapt quickly.
• General computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Music & Movement classes on Saturday mornings; other classes may be added.
• Collaborates with the Program & Summer Camp Director to promote healthy living and youth development.
• Creates music programs and curriculum while ensuring safety and YMCA standards.
• Supports setup, delivery, and supervision of programming with a positive environment.
• Maintains attendance records and assists with administrative tasks as needed.
