Hook is seeking a Legal Affairs Intern in New York City to work with the General Counsel on in‑house legal matters for a fast‑moving music/creator startup.

You will draft and negotiate NDAs, offers, supplier and employment documents, and assist with governance and risk management. The role offers hands‑on exposure to entertainment/IP work and cross‑functional collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Strong understanding of music copyright law and related licenses.
• Interest in entertainment law, IP, music, and media sectors.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and manage NDAs and confidentiality agreements.
• Prepare and process offer letters, contractor agreements, and employment documents.
• Assist with corporate governance and housekeeping.
