Riverside Baptist Church in Waynesville, NC, seeks a part-time Music Director who will glorify God through biblically-faithful music and lead a blended worship program.

You will direct the traditional choir, lead praise team and congregational singing, manage rehearsals and services, and oversee the music ministry budget while coordinating with pastoral staff.

Qualifications

• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of a growing relationship with Him
• Agreement with and adherence to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
• Strong working knowledge of music, including vocal leadership and basic music direction
• Ability to lead both choir and congregation effectively
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Faithful attendance and active participation in the life of the church

Responsibilities

• Lead praise team

• Coordinate and communicate regularly with pastoral staff, secretary, musicians, and sound team regarding order of service and music selection
• Prepare and organize music for regular services, as well as special services (e.g., holidays, revivals, and other church events)
