Job summary

Euharlee Baptist Church seeks a Director of Music to lead our worship ministry. You will plan weekly worship, direct choir rehearsals, and coordinate with accompanists and other musicians.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Director of Music to lead and develop our church’s music ministry. The ideal candidate will have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a servant’s heart, and a desire to lead others in meaningful, Christ-honoring worship.

Working alongside the Pastor and Worship Committee, the Director of Music will plan and lead congregational worship, direct choir rehearsals, coordinate with accompanists and musicians, and organize special music for Christmas, Easter, revivals, and other church events.

We are looking for someone who appreciates a variety of musical styles, including traditional hymns, Southern Gospel, choral anthems, and contemporary worship music. Candidates should have a degree in music or demonstrated proficiency in music leadership, including piano, vocal performance, music reading, and directing.

Beyond leading weekly worship, the Director of Music will have the opportunity to build and strengthen a multigenerational music ministry, encouraging musical and spiritual growth among children, youth, and adults.
