• Hold weekly rehearsals with instrumentalists, choir, and AV team.

Job Summary:

Blackrock Baptist Church is seeking a Part time Worship Leader of the Southern Baptist faith. The person to fill this role must be a committed Christian with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a fruit bearing lifestyle. He will lead the congregation in Christ-centered, biblically faithful worship that supports the church’s mission. Qualifications include the ability to lead a blended music worship program with a contemporary and traditional music style. Must have a minimum of two years of music ministry experience and be familiar with presenter programs and technical operations.

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Benefits:

Part-time contracted position paying $100-$150 per service

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the vision of the Senior Pastor and the mission of Blackrock Baptist Church
• Ensure proper stewardship of all church music assets including sound equipment and musical instruments. Submit an asset request when replacement or additional equipment is needed.
• Responsible for congregational singing, special music, and utilizing spirit led volunteers when needed
• Coordinate a blended music program to fit church culture and align with church mission and values
• Direct Praise Team and church choirs for worship services and special functions
• Assist pastor in planning congregation services of the church and be present and responsible for the selection of music in the Sunday and Wednesday worship services, revivals and other worship services. Work with Pastor to secure guest music leader to fill in when absent
• Music at funerals and weddings upon request
• Weekly rehearsal with instrumentalists, the choir, Praise Team and AV Media
