Job summary

BMI is seeking an Analyst, Digital Identification to support the quarterly performance identification production cycle. You will deploy technical skills, analyze identification results, and help improve accuracy, efficiency and rates.

The role sits at the intersection of data, technology and music, collaborating with Distribution and IT teams to turn data into actionable insights. You will work with customized apps, dashboards, and data assets, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• One to two years related experience or familiarity with an operational/processing role preferred.
• Knowledge of music industry or active participation in the music community highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, executes, and applies the results of an established suite of supplementary auto-identification scripts that support BMI’s audio performance identification objectives.
• Analyzes results to identify potential refinements, new approaches to increase yield and higher ID rates.
• Executes market-specific workflows powered by customized applications for cleansing, formatting, and extraction of usage for downstream identification and distribution.
• Assesses opportunities for reengineering processes with newer technologies.
• Generates and delivers reports to stakeholders that mine data assets to assess identification priorities.
• Collaborates with departmental management to coordinate technical tasks related to quarterly close processes and IT troubleshooting.
• Maintains SOP documentation and updates as needed.
• Ingests production and analytical data from licensees and data vendors with IT.
