Qualifications

• Ph.D. or DMA in Composition, Music Theory, or Music Technology from an accredited institution; ABD considered but must be awarded before start.
• Demonstrated excellence in music theory pedagogy.
• Evidence of creative/scholarly achievement in composition and music technology.
• Commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student body.
• University teaching experience.
• Proficiency in written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses across the Music Theory and Musicianship sequence (undergrad).
• Teach courses across the Music Technology and Composition sequence (expertise).
• Advise and mentor student composers and producers, guiding senior projects.
• Maintain a program of creative activity, performance, and/or scholarship.
• Contribute to curriculum development with emphasis on inclusivity and innovation.
• Participate in service at department, college, and university levels.
