Job summary

Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago & Chicago Lights is seeking a Music Administrator to coordinate the Friday Noonday Concert Series, manage payroll and accounts payable for the Music Department, and assist with communications and promotions of concerts and events.

The role supports efficient operations, high-quality service, and collaboration across departments within a faith-based, multicultural setting in downtown Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in music, office administration or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years in music/arts administration or office administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Friday Noonday concert series including booking artists, correspondence with musicians and weekly printed programs.
• Attend in person the Friday Noonday concert series in the absence of the Organist and Director of Music.
• Track, enter, update, and approve payroll hours of musician employees.
• Ensure musician contractors and vendors are paid in a timely manner.
• Oversee documentation and reporting of music played in worship services and concerts to copyright agencies; ensure licenses are current and compliant.
• Collaborate with communications to publicize and promote music events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
