Job summary

The St. George Museum of Art is seeking a Front Desk Recreation Worker II to welcome visitors, support educational programs and events, assist with exhibit prep, and help with day-to-day museum operations. This part-time role emphasizes friendly, dependable service and teamwork.

Weekend/evening availability is required; candidate will interact with the public and support staff across Education and curatorial teams. Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Licenses and/or Certifications: None.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in person and over the phone; answering questions and/or referring customers to staff.
• Assist Education team with tours, classes, and programming as assigned.
• Assist in Exhibit preparation, including printing and hanging labels, preparing exhibit space, leveling artwork, and more.
• Aid in promotion and advertising of programs and events.
• Register participants for programs, classes, and activities.
• Perform money-handling duties according to City and division policies and procedures.
• General office and clerical duties; Copies and prepares brochures, flyers, schedules, rosters, etc.
• Organize, clean, prepare and maintain museum facilities and other work areas; support programs and events.
• Handle tasks and errands to support day-to-day operations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other related duties as needed.
• Follow all city policies and procedures.
