Job summary

The St. George Museum of Art seeks a Front Desk Recreation Worker II for part-time hours to greet visitors, support educational programs, assist with exhibitions, and help day-to-day museum operations.

You’ll need a friendly, dependable, and flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn and engage with the community. Responsibilities include answering inquiries, supporting tours and events, handling registrations and basic clerical tasks, and maintaining exhibition spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in person and over the phone; answer questions and refer to staff.
• Respond to public inquiries about city arts and recreation programs and services.
• Assist Education team with tours, classes, and programming.
• Assist in exhibit preparation including labels and space setup.
• Promote programs and special events to visitors.
• Register participants for programs and activities.
• Handle money according to city policies.
• Perform general office and clerical duties (printing, flyers, schedules).
• Organize and maintain museum facilities and work areas.
• Support programs and special events as needed.
• Handle errands to ensure smooth operations.
• Contribute to team effort and follow city policies.
