Job summary

The National Geographic Society seeks a Senior Manager, Museum Technology Support in Washington, DC. You will lead a technical team responsible for ticketing, POS, and related systems, emphasizing revenue reliability and guest service.

You will mentor staff, align with PCI-DSS policies, report KPIs, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with vendors and internal teams on security and uptime. Evening/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Certifications and equivalent experience in related areas will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the daily operations of ticketing and POS systems to maximize uptime.
• Leads a technical team delivering real-time support and manages upgrades and deployments.
• Establishes KPIs and SLAs and reports performance to leadership.
• Ensures PCI-DSS compliance across processes and systems.
• Mentors staff and leads ITIL incident, change, and problem management.
