Job summary

National Geographic Society seeks a Manager, Event Operations to lead daily event operations in the Museum of Exploration. You will oversee end-to-end event delivery, manage operational budgets, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to uphold brand standards and guest satisfaction.

This role requires 5+ years of event operations leadership, strong SOP development, vendor management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred for leadership in museum event operations.
• 5+ years of event operations leadership, including supervising teams or vendors.
• Experience coordinating internal/external stakeholders across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end event operations for internal and external events.
• Develop and enforce SOPs to improve event setup, execution, and teardown.
• Manage vendor performance and SLAs, and negotiate event scope and COIs.
• Lead on-site Client and internal team communications during events.
• Monitor KPIs for event execution and guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate cross-department operations to optimize resources and schedule.
