The Children's Museum's Museum Store is seeking a Spring 2027 Digital Commerce Intern in Indianapolis to help grow online sales. In Part One, research and build a marketing plan with 2-3 strategies, tactics, and revenue metrics, meeting with internal teams and external contacts.

In Part Two, implement the plan by learning Shopify back-end operations, improving layout, adding products, and presenting results to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Completion of more than one year of college coursework.
  • Preferred major or field of study: digital marketing or retail.
  • Working knowledge of website structure.
  • Experience or coursework in building a marketing plan.
  • Understanding of how to motivate adult shoppers purchasing for children.
  • Part-time position, approximately 15 hours per week.

Description

OVERVIEW:

The Museum Store Intern will help drive growth of the Museum Store's online sales. In Part One, the intern will research and build a marketing plan, meeting with internal Business Sales and Strategy Marketing team members as well as external contacts like the Museum Store Association and industry experts, then present a plan with 2 to 3 strategies, supporting tactics, and revenue metrics to Museum Store leadership. In Part Two, the intern will implement that plan by learning the back-end operations of the Shopify website, improving the site's layout, adding new products, and presenting the results of their work.
