Job summary

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is seeking a Museum Technician to inspect, repair and maintain USSRC simulators and exhibits on site in Huntsville. You will work with electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and computer peripherals to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree and 12–24 months of related experience, with safety and teamwork emphasized. A full-time schedule includes four 10-hour shifts and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school or GED with a 2-year technical degree; work experience may be considered.
• 12–24 months experience as a Tech 1 designing, maintaining, and repairing electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
• Must be able to use the tools, equipment, and materials of the profession safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Systematically inspect and repair USSRC simulators to maintain safe, efficient operation.
• Develop, modify, and update technological interactives and mechanical systems.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of exhibit technical service requests.
• Meet expectations for installation, maintenance, and repair of simulators and exhibits.
