Job summary

Ringling College of Art and Design seeks a Retail Sales Associate to join the Museum Shop team. You will greet visitors, explain products, process transactions, and help cultivate memberships to encourage return visits.

The role requires standing for long periods, cash handling experience, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience with Point of Sale systems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Open/close store, balance cash and register, deposits and discrepancies.
• Process returns and exchanges.
• Lead the customer service experience.
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge and communicate accurate information.
• Count and process deliveries, generate labels and tickets.
• Interact with customers to guide purchases and memberships.
