Job summary

Ringling College of Art and Design's Museum Shop is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join a small team delivering world-class customer experiences. You will manage daily sales, assist visitors, process transactions, and promote memberships while maintaining product knowledge and store organization.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least two years of sales or customer service experience, with strong communication, math skills, and the ability to stand for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years’ sales, customer service or hospitality experience.
• Experience in cash handling.
• Experience and knowledge with Point of Sale systems.
• Background and credit report required.

Responsibilities

• Open/close store.
• Balance cash and register, make deposits and solve discrepancies.
• Process returns and exchanges.
• Lead the customer service experience.
• Proactively maintain in-depth product knowledge and assist customers with purchases.
• Count and process new deliveries, generate labels and tickets.
• Work independently when the Retail Manager is absent.
• Interact with customers to offer guidance and assist them in making purchasing decisions.
• Process transactions through the POS and balance cash/register.
• Promote / sell membership and its benefits.
• Maintain organization and adequate inventory; restock merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of customer-facing areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
