Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three+ years of museum collections handling/cleaning experience.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of collections and surrounding areas.
• Maintain records of work performed via checklists.
• Inspect conditions and monitor environmental factors (humidity, temperature, light).
• Set up sensors and record data.
• Document conditions per conservation protocols.
• Assist in administrative tasks and supply inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and SDS guidelines.
• Participate in annual training and team communications.
• Provide guidance in the absence of a supervisor.
