Job summary

Philadelphia Museum of Art is seeking a part-time Parking Attendant to greet and guide visitors and manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic to ensure safe, smooth arrivals and departures. This on-site, non-exempt role requires weekend, holiday, and some evening availability, with 21 hours per week at an hourly rate of $18.50.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service to foster visitor relations.
• Ability to stand outdoors in all weather.
• Experience with cash handling and basic payments.
• Proficient with computers and point-of-sale systems.
• Strong multitasking in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct visitors and traffic at museum entrances.
• Provide friendly, proactive visitor assistance.
• Maintain visible presence to manage pedestrian flow.
• Coordinate bus arrivals and departures for groups.
• Manage drop-off and pick-up traffic at entrances.
• Offer information on transportation and nearby attractions.
• Assist visitors with payments on pay-on-foot machines and parking fees.
• Update and monitor the parking system database.
• Respond professionally to visitor concerns and refer unresolved issues.
• Complete daily opening and closing tasks.
• Cross-train in other Visitor Experience roles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
