Job summary

Clark Art Institute is seeking a Director of Operations to lead day-to-day operations across facilities, grounds, security, and sustainability. This role ensures policy compliance, manages capital projects, and supports a safe environment for visitors, scholars, and staff.

A strong leader will guide multiple managers and collaborate with the Institute's Directors Advisory Group. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and vendor coordination to maintain the highest standards for the Clark’s

Qualifications

7+ years in a senior operations leadership role.
Experience coordinating large capital projects and building systems.
Experience overseeing electrical and HVAC systems in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Facilities, Grounds, Security, Sustainability, and other departments to ensure safe, secure, and aesthetically pleasing environments for visitors and staff.
Oversee maintenance and capital project budgets and coordinate schedules with vendors and programmatic events.
Plan and execute capital, building, and grounds projects while managing multiple large projects simultaneously.
Ensure adherence to professional policy standards and protocols across the Institute.
Provide leadership for security, life safety, emergency management, and business continuity programs in coordination with the Security Manager.
Maintain the Clark’s 140-acre campus and optimize the facilities, grounds, and mechanical systems.
