The Associate Buyer at Academy Museum is responsible for developing and executing merchandise assortments that support the Museum’s mission and financial goals. You will collaborate with Senior Buyer on product development, sourcing, and inventory management, coordinating launches with Curatorial, Marketing, E‑Commerce, and external partners to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of buying and product development experience.
• Strong understanding of product development, buying, and supply chain processes.
• Experience with vendors and licensors, including pricing and negotiations.
• Experience analyzing sales and inventory performance to inform buying decisions.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Own product development initiatives for assigned projects reflecting exhibitions and Academy history.
• Lead end-to-end development from concept to delivery with vendor coordination and approvals.
• Contribute to seasonal buying and balanced assortments with Senior Buyer and VP.
• Manage licensed product development with licensing partners and brand alignment.
• Identify new opportunities through industry research and trend analysis.
• Oversee reorder processes, pricing, approvals, and end-of-life decisions.
• Coordinate samples, reviews, and timely launches with cross-functional teams.
• Support assortment optimization through performance analysis and forecasting.
