Job summary

Stanford University’s Cantor Arts Center seeks a Community Learning and Engagement Associate to develop and administer in-gallery learning programs for visitors, including public and K-12 touring programs, and to support outreach beyond campus.

You will recruit and train volunteers, coordinate tours and talks, work with school programs, and help expand attendance through evaluation and collaboration with Cantor staff and partner collections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and four years of administrative experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Act on behalf of the supervisor to establish priorities and resolve administrative problems.
• Schedule, organize, and operate complex conferences, seminars, and events within budget.
• Draft documents and correspondence for presentations, grants, conferences, and reports; edit as needed.
• Plan and schedule calendars, resolve conflicts, and arrange travel in compliance with policies.
• Create complex reports and spreadsheets using specialized software.
• Coordinate maintenance, moves, or minor renovations as needed.
• Lead staff or supervise student/temporary workers and provide performance input.
