Job summary

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, located in Delaware, is seeking a General Services Aide to perform janitorial services and assist with event setup. The role maintains cleanliness across facilities and supports guest and staff satisfaction through reliable upkeep.

Compensation is $17.00/hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, generous PTO, 403b with employer match, store/cafe discounts, and free general admission for employees and their immediate family.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years janitorial experience with HS diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Preferred experience in Hospitality or Cultural Institution industries.

Responsibilities

• Janitorial services: maintain general indoor appearance, trash collection, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and using cleaning equipment safely.
• Ensure disinfection and sanitization of employee spaces and public areas per OSHA, CDC, and state guidelines.
• Perform duties as per Work orders, including setting up conference rooms for training.
• Responsible for event setup and take down, including arranging tables and trash receptacles.
