Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing grounds maintenance work using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Or one year of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker III in Nevada State service; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Maintain grounds areas clean and free of trash, leaves, snow and ice; sweep, rake, shovel, and operate light, medium and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the museum grounds and two historic structures on a 13-acre property.
• Operate hand and power tools and light mechanized equipment such as mowers and tractors.
• Inspect and repair fixtures; patch or paint walls as needed.
• Assist with event setup/teardown and moving artifacts; support exhibit work.
• Respond to emergencies as a first point of contact and work under general supervision.
