The State of Nevada is seeking Grounds Maintenance Workers to perform a broad range of landscape and greenhouse duties at a large facility. You will plant, prune, mow, irrigate, and maintain grounds while operating various tools and equipment and ensuring proper irrigation cycles.

Responsibilities include planning routine activities, supervising staff, and coordinating landscape maintenance with supervisors.

Formación

• Two years of experience performing grounds maintenance using a variety of tools and techniques; OR one year of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in a specialized phase of grounds service under supervision.
• Plan and schedule routine activities and supervise a small subordinate staff.
• Inspect irrigation systems, diagnose malfunctions, and schedule watering.
• Maintain grounds to remove trash, leaves, and snow; operate light, medium, and heavy equipment.
• Install sprinklers and drip systems according to landscape plans.
• Perform minor repairs on tools and equipment to maximize efficiency.
