Job summary

The Cleveland Museum of Art is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the Museum grounds and the Fine Arts Garden, performing duties including mowing, edging, pruning, litter removal, and seasonal planting. The role supports irrigation, drainage, and minor repairs in outdoor spaces.

The position is hourly, with an annual benefits package and union membership noted in the posting. A valid Ohio driver’s license and landscape experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One to two years related landscaping experience preferred.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and be able to operate landscape equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass, edge and trim along walks, shrub beds and trees.
• Weed landscape beds around trees as needed.
• Prune trees and shrubs and remove damaged branches.
• Clean grounds and remove litter daily.
• Perform leaf cleanup and snow removal; apply salt as needed.
• Plant grass, trees, shrubs and bulbs; assist irrigation operation.
