Job summary

Boca Raton Museum of Art, Inc. is seeking an Education–Curatorial Assistant, a joint appointment supporting Learning & Engagement and Curatorial departments.

The role provides essential clerical, scheduling, and logistical support to deliver exhibitions, educational programs, tours, and public events of the highest quality. Under shared supervision, the assistant coordinates information and workflows across two departments, supports school, family, adult, college, docent, and community programs,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of administrative, program, or project-support experience in a museum, nonprofit, educational institution, or similar organization.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer-service skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, work independently, and collaborate across two departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new databases and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the Director of Learning & Engagement, Chief Curator, and designated staff; include scheduling, calendars, timelines, and preparing materials.
• Maintain organized records and monitor inquiries; respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with Digital Programs Coordinator to update program information on the website.
• Process and track purchase requests, invoices, expenses, contracts, and other paperwork with Finance.
• Coordinate logistics for mailings, travel, and supplies for visiting artists, curators, and scholars.
• Support administrative and logistical needs for school, family, adult, college, docent, and access programs.
