Job summary

The Burke Museum at the University of Washington seeks a Director of Development to provide strategic leadership for fundraising and donor engagement. Reporting to senior museum leadership, this role oversees major gifts, annual giving, membership, planned giving, events and campaigns.

As the museum's lead fundraiser, you will build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and board members while guiding a collaborative team and aligning with broader university priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least five years of development experience with major gifts.
• Experience in securing six- and seven-figure gifts is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage donor relationships to secure philanthropic support.
• Lead fundraising programs including major gifts, annual giving, events and campaigns.
• Oversee the Development team's activities and budget.
