Job summary

The Honolulu Museum of Art café is seeking a part-time server to provide friendly, efficient service under the Café Manager. You will greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages while supporting daily café operations.

Qualified applicants have 2–3 years of restaurant/catering experience, knowledge of table service etiquette, and food safety practices; ServSafe or ANSI Food Handler certification is preferred and Liquor Server Certification may be required for some shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years of customer service experience in a restaurant or catering setting.
• Knowledge of table service etiquette and food safety practices is required.
• ServSafe/ANSI Food Handler certification is preferred; liquor certification may be required for certain shifts.
• Ability to greet customers, take orders, and serve food and beverages in a courteous manner.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, seat them when applicable, take orders, and serve all food and beverages.
• Buss tables, clean and sanitize surfaces, and reset dining areas for the next guests.
• Assist with opening/setup and closing/cleanup duties with café staff; participate in catering events as needed.
• Prepare beverages and desserts and operate as cashier or bartender when assigned.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
