Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under supervision of a Radiologist. You will document patient history, verify identities, prepare and administer contrast media, and consult with physicians to ensure high quality imaging.

The role requires completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology program, ARRT registration (or eligible and registered within 1 year), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology Program.
• ARRT certification is required or candidate must be eligible and registered within 1 year of hire.
• 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations and fluoroscopic procedures under supervision.
• Documents patient history pertaining to the procedure on requisition.
• Verifies patient identity by verbal confirmation and proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and physicians as necessary.
• Operates equipment and ensures proper positioning for imaging.
• Maintains required records and adheres to departmental standards.
