Job Description Summary

Provide administrative coverage at the front desk, including monitoring the clinic appointment line, scheduling appointments for clients from outside medical, hospital, or correctional systems, answering multiline telephones, taking payments for clinical services, completing client registration and documentation, scheduling interpreters, and retrieving billing charges.

Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain and update demographic and insurance information for all patients.
  2. Meet standard productivity metrics while performing pre-registration and registration processes.
  3. Complete all regulatory and compliance-related forms for visits.
  4. Perform verification and payment workflows, including screening for funding sources and setting patient expectations for reimbursement.
  5. Demonstrate commitment to positive patient and family experiences and excellence in customer service.

Additional Job Description

Required Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of customer service experience. Basic computer skills required. Healthcare front desk experience preferred. Ability to organize and prioritize work, communicate effectively, and establish good relationships.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: None

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, climb stairs, reach, use hands and legs, perform repetitive motions, maintain 20/40 vision, lift objects up to 20 lbs, and work indoors in a latex-safe environment. Occasionally work in dusty or cramped spaces.
