Job summary

DXC-Luxoft seeks a Senior Murex Performance Analyst to own end-to-end performance, scalability, and stability of the MX.3 platform in a high-availability trading and risk environment. You will lead performance engineering across Front Office, Risk, and Back Office and collaborate with infrastructure, DBAs, DevOps, and functional Murex teams.

Requires 7+ years in Murex MX.3 with deep performance focus, expertise in EOD/SOD, risk and pricing frameworks, batch scheduling, and large market data

Qualifications

• Murex MX.3 experience with deep performance focus and 7+ years in MX.3.
• Expert in EOD/SOD architecture and risk/pricing calculations.
• Experience with workflows, schedulers, and batch dependency chains.
• Knowledge of grid and calculation distribution models.
• Advanced SQL performance tuning; Oracle or similar databases.
• Strong Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting skills.
• JVM tuning and performance troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with monitoring and performance diagnostic tools.
• Experience managing large market data volumes.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for performance engineering, leading analysis and optimization across Front Office, Risk, and Back Office.
• Continuously improve MX.3 performance across PRE-PROD and PROD environments.
• Escalation point for complex performance and stability issues.
• Define and execute performance testing strategies for upgrades, patches, onboarding, and infra changes.
• Analyze pricing and risk calculation engines, market data ingestion, batch scheduling, and throughput.
• Perform advanced SQL and execution-plan analysis for large MX.3 datasets.
• Optimize grid configuration, memory, and calculation distribution; drive permanent fixes.
• Lead capacity planning and influence architecture with performance-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Murex Performance Analyst is accountable for the end-to-end performance, scalability, and stability of the Murex MX.3 platform in a high-availability trading and risk environment. This role acts as a technical authority for performance engineering, leading analysis, tuning initiatives, and strategic optimization efforts across Front Office, Risk, and Back Office workflows. The role requires deep expertise in Murex architecture, EOD/SOD processing, batch frameworks, pricing and risk calculations, and close collaboration with infrastructure, database, DevOps, and functional Murex teams. Platform Performance Ownership
• Continuously improve Murex MX.3 platform performance across multiple Murexenv with the focus on PRE-PROD and PROD.
• Act as the escalation point for complex performance and stability issues.
• Ensure performance SLAs are met for intraday processing, risk calculations, andEOD/SOD cycles.Advanced Performance Analysis & Optimization
• Lead detailed analysis of: o Pricing and risk calculation engineso Market data ingestion performanceo Batch scheduling, workflows, and dependencieso Reporting, extraction, and interface throughput
• Perform advanced SQL and execution-plan analysis for large Murex datasets.
• Optimize grid configuration, JVM tuning, memory allocation, and calculation distribution.
• Drive permanent fixes for recurring performance issues.EOD / Critical Batch Leadership
• Own EOD performance strategy, ensuring predictability and scalability.
• Reduce batch durations through architectural and configuration improvements.
• Coordinate with business, infrastructure, and Murex functional teams during critical cycles.
• Root cause analysis (RCA) for missed SLAs or degraded EOD runs.Performance Engineering & Testing
• Define and execute performance testing strategies for: o Murex upgrades and patcheso New product onboardingo Significant configuration or infrastructure changes
• Establish baselines, benchmarks, and regression controls.
