Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior Murex Performance Analyst to own the MX.3 platform performance in a high-availability trading environment. You will lead end-to-end performance efforts across Front Office, Risk and Back Office, coordinating with Infra, DBAs and DevOps teams.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in Murex MX.3, strong SQL tuning, Unix/Linux skills and JVM optimization, with experience managing large market data workloads.

Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL performance tuning (Oracle / Sybase / equivalent).

  • JVM tuning and troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and performance diagnostic tools.

  • Define performance testing strategies for upgrades, patches and onboarding.
  • Lead capacity planning and data-driven infrastructure recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Infra, DBAs, DevOps and functional Murex teams.
  • Root cause analysis for missed SLAs and degraded EOD runs.

Responsibilities
  • The Senior Murex Performance Analyst is accountable for the end-to-end performance, scalability, and stability of the Murex MX.3 platform in a high-availability trading and risk environment. This role acts as a technical authority for performance engineering, leading analysis, tuning initiatives, and strategic optimization efforts across Front Office, Risk, and Back Office workflows. The role requires deep expertise in Murex architecture, EOD/SOD processing, batch frameworks, pricing and risk calculations, and close collaboration with infrastructure, database, DevOps, and functional Murex teams. Platform Performance Ownership
  • Continuously improve Murex MX.3 platform performance across multiple Murexenv with the focus on PRE-PROD and PROD.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex performance and stability issues.
  • Ensure performance SLAs are met for intraday processing, risk calculations, andEOD/SOD cycles.Advanced Performance Analysis & Optimization
  • Lead detailed analysis of: o Pricing and risk calculation engineso Market data ingestion performanceo Batch scheduling, workflows, and dependencieso Reporting, extraction, and interface throughput
  • Perform advanced SQL and execution-plan analysis for large Murex datasets.
  • Optimize grid configuration, JVM tuning, memory allocation, and calculation distribution.
  • Drive permanent fixes for recurring performance issues.EOD / Critical Batch Leadership
  • Own EOD performance strategy, ensuring predictability and scalability.
  • Reduce batch durations through architectural and configuration improvements.
  • Coordinate with business, infrastructure, and Murex functional teams during critical cycles.
  • Root cause analysis (RCA) for missed SLAs or degraded EOD runs.Performance Engineering & Testing
  • Define and execute performance testing strategies for: o Murex upgrades and patcheso New product onboardingo Significant configuration or infrastructure changes
  • Establish baselines, benchmarks, and regression controls.
  • Validate scalability against forecasted business growth.Capacity Planning & Architecture Influence
  • Lead capacity planning and load modeling for CPU, memory, storage, and grid utilization.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for infrastructure scaling.
